Corridors and payment methods
TensorRail Collect lets you collect in local currency across a growing set of corridors in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This page explains the coverage model and the payment-method families. The exact countries and methods activated for your account are shown in your dashboard after onboarding, because coverage depends on your approved markets and your risk profile.
The list below describes the payment-method families TensorRail supports. Your activated corridors are confirmed during onboarding and can be extended later. Availability of a specific method in a specific country can change with local conditions.
Regions
- Africa: broad mobile-money and local bank-transfer coverage across West, East, Central, and Southern markets.
- Asia: local bank transfer, virtual accounts, and local wallet rails in selected markets.
- Latin America: local bank transfer, cash/voucher and local wallet rails in selected markets.
Corridors are added over time. If a market you need is not yet listed for your account, ask TensorRail; new corridors are activated by agreement once TensorRail's coverage and your approval are in place.
Payment-method families
TensorRail presents these as its own rails. You do not integrate, contract, or hold accounts with any underlying institution.
Mobile money
Your customer pays from their mobile-money wallet, typically by approving a prompt on their phone. Widely used across African markets and some Asian and Latin American markets. Funds are collected in the local currency and credited to your account balance.
Virtual accounts and bank transfer
Your customer is shown account or reference details and pays by local bank transfer, or pays into a dedicated virtual account assigned to the collection. Common where bank transfer is the default consumer rail. Collected in local currency.
Local rails
Country-specific consumer payment rails beyond the two above, including local card and wallet rails, cash/voucher payment where relevant, and other domestic instant-payment schemes. Which of these is available depends on the country.
Crypto
Your customer can pay in crypto where enabled for your account. Collected value is credited to your account balance and settled to your USDT wallet like any other collection.
How a collection reaches your account balance
Whatever method your customer chooses, the flow is the same from your point of view:
- The customer pays over the local method.
- TensorRail confirms receipt on that rail.
- TensorRail credits your account balance, consolidated into your settlement currency.
- You settle your balance to USDT (see Fees and settlement terms).
Currency handling
Customers pay in their local currency. Your account balance is presented in your settlement currency, and settlements go out in USDT. Conversion from local currency into your settlement/USDT terms happens as part of the collection-to-settlement flow; the applicable rate and any conversion component are covered in Fees and settlement terms.
Settlement timing by corridor
Collections do not all clear at the same speed. Some corridors credit your account balance the same day or next day; others take longer because of local banking hours, holidays, and rail behaviour. Indicative settlement timing per corridor is shown in your dashboard and in your commercial terms. All timing is indicative unless TensorRail states in writing that it is guaranteed.
